Dear Patient
Privacy Policy
Dear Patient exists to take care of what happens after your consultation. That only works if you can trust us with your health information. Here is exactly how we treat it, in plain language.
What we collect
The messages you send us on WhatsApp, including prescription photos, reports, and your replies to reminders, along with your WhatsApp phone number and name. If your clinic enrolled you, we also receive the treatment details your clinic entered.
How we use it
Only to run your care journey: reading prescriptions to schedule reminders, sending follow-ups on time, keeping your health record in one place, and alerting your clinic's staff when you have asked us to or your clinic's protocol requires it.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not use your health information for advertising. We do not share it with anyone except the clinic that is treating you, and the service providers we need to operate (such as WhatsApp's Business API and our cloud hosting), each bound by their own safeguards.
Where it lives
Your data is stored encrypted on servers hosted with established cloud providers. Messages between you and Dear Patient travel over WhatsApp's encrypted network.
Your control
Your data belongs to you. Tell us to pause on WhatsApp at any time and we will stop your reminders. Ask us to export or delete your data and we will do it, no questions asked.
Questions
Message us on WhatsApp, or reach us through our LinkedIn page, and a human will answer.
